Myopia and Hyperopia is a disease. Really?
Myopia and Hyperopia is not a disease. It is a cause of impaired vision. Myopia occurs when the eyeball is too long, relative to the focusing power of the cornea and lens of the eye. This causes light rays to focus at a point in front of the retina. While, Hyperopia is a condition where the eyeball is too short, causing the light rays entering the eye focus behind the retina. This can be corrected with glasses or contact lenses to change the way light rays bend into the eyes.
